The IC-M36 Features Clear Voice and Voice Boost:

The IC-M36 is equipped with Voice Boost, which includes a sub-microphone on the rear panel that inverts phase and cancels out ambient noise from the main microphone. This technology reduces the impact of background noise, especially trebly noise, from the transmitted signal, making voice communication clearer. In high-noise environments like engine rooms, the sub-microphone detects ambient noise, and the IC-M36 automatically adjusts the volume output to suit the surroundings. When an instant volume boost is needed, a simple push of the “Loud” button provides maximum volume immediately. Additionally, holding the “Loud” button mutes the audio output.
